Botetourt County adult and continuing education programs

are available September through May with course offerings in business, work and family studies (home economics), marketing, trade and industrial education, agriculture/horticulture, and general educational development. The variety of courses provides the opportunity for marketable skills training and/or personal enrichment. Botetourt County (pronounced Bot-i-tot) was created in 1769. It was named after English colonial governor, Norborne Berkeley, Lord de Botetourt, who was regarded as "the best of Governors and best of men."
